Asbestos analysis results - what does the report say?
The results of your asbestos analysis are emailed to you as a PDF report on the day the sample arrives. The report is clear, comprehensive and complies with the ISO 22262-1 standard.

The sample arrives
The laboratory receives the sample and starts the analysis. You will receive a confirmation message.
The analysis is completed
JEOL SEM-EDS analysis is completed on the day of arrival. The expert writes the report.
Results by email
You will receive a PDF report in your email. The report contains all relevant information.

What does the report contain - and what does the result mean?
Content of the report
- Customer and sample details (site, material, location)
- Description of the analysis instrument and method (JEOL SEM-EDS, ISO 22262-1)
- Identification of asbestos type (all 6 types)
- Result per sample: contains / does not contain asbestos
- Dustiness (risk) class 0–5
- Interpretation of the results
- Analyst's signature and sample photos as an appendix
Positive result
Asbestos was detected in the sample. Do not handle or remove the material without proper protective measures. Removal must be carried out by trained professionals.
Negative result
No asbestos was detected in the sample. The result covers all six types of asbestos. Remember that it applies only to the sample analysed.
