DIY sampling

Taking an asbestos sample yourself - an easy and affordable way

In most cases, you can take an asbestos sample yourself and send it to a laboratory for analysis. This is the fastest and most affordable way to find out if the suspicious material contains asbestos.

Why you can do it yourself

Why is a self-taken sample sufficient in most cases?

The laboratory does the analysis, not the person taking the sample

The quality of an asbestos analysis depends on the laboratory and its instruments - not on who took the sample. When Onelab analyses your sample with a JEOL SEM-EDS electron microscope, the result is just as reliable whoever brought the material in.

A cost-effective solution

Taking the sample yourself saves a professional's travel and sampling fees. You pay only for the laboratory analysis - a flat €39.90 + VAT for every sample.
