Can an asbestos sample be sent by post?
Yes. A small material sample can be posted to the laboratory as long as it is sealed and clearly labelled. The analysis costs €39.90 + VAT and the result is ready on the day the sample arrives.

Put the sample in a sealed minigrip bag, then into soft outer packaging.

Send the package to our laboratory address via Posti.
Get the results
You will receive a result report in your email on the day the sample arrives.

This is how you pack the sample correctly
Necessary materials
- A sealable minigrip bag
- Soft packaging material (tissue paper)
- Small cardboard box or envelope
- Clear marking: "Asbestos sample - laboratory"
Remember these
- One sample per bag - do not mix samples
- Mark on each sample where it was taken from
- Send as a regular letter or as a small package
