Analysis and turnaround to North Karelia

Samples sent from North Karelia are most often floor coverings and fillers. A JEOL SEM-EDS electron microscope identifies the fibres, and the ISO 22262-1 standard determines the classification. The sample is logged and analysed as a rule on the day it arrives, and the answer goes to your email the same day. In practice the result is therefore with you 1-2 business days after you post the sample.

What the result means

A positive result means that removing the material has to be done as asbestos removal work by an authorised contractor. This applies to detached houses and do-it-yourself renovations as well. A negative result gives documented certainty that can be attached to the renovation paperwork.
