Asbestos analysis
Asbestos analysis Lohja
Lohja's limestone heritage does not make asbestos any easier to see, so samples are examined in our laboratory with a JEOL SEM-EDS electron microscope. Analysis to the ISO 22262-1 standard picks the fibres out from quartz and gypsum, and thanks to the postal connections in Uusimaa your answer is usually ready the same working day.

Why Onelab
A reliable laboratory throughout Finland
Analysis method and standard
From the stone-based renders and fillers of Lohja come samples with a great deal of mineral bulk. The analysis is done with a JEOL SEM-EDS electron microscope, and the procedure follows the ISO 22262-1 standard. Stone-based fillers and renders often contain mineral fibres that resemble asbestos under optical examination; EDS elemental analysis separates them on the basis of measured composition.
The result and what follows
The answer states whether asbestos is present in the material examined and of which type. A positive result requires asbestos removal work by an authorised contractor. A negative result is a written document that can be attached to the renovation paperwork. You receive the result by email as a rule on the day the sample arrives.
